My partner and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fanari Oia Restaurant during our trip to Santorini. We had heard great things about the restaurant and were excited to see if it lived up to its reputation.
The restaurant's location is unbeatable. Situated on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea, it offers breathtaking views of the sunset. We were lucky enough to secure a table by the edge, which made the experience even more special.
As soon as we sat down, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who made us feel very welcome. She showed us the menu and explained the menu. We were excited to their delicacies, and the menu had a great variety of dishes to choose from.
For our appetizer, we ordered the roasted feta cheese. It was cooked to perfection and had a delicious flavor. However, it didn't come with pita bread, which we found a bit odd. We later learned that this is common in Santorini, but we would have appreciated it being mentioned on the menu or by our server.
My Partner had the Grandma’s Casserole Beef that is tender bites of beef cooked in casserole in homemade Santorinean red sauce and made of sweet tomatoes & eggplants of the island spread with cinnamon perfumes.
I Indulged into Lime Sauted Shrimps that was Shrimps sautéed in fresh olive oil quenched with fresh lime juice, are rinsed & perfumed with sauce made of orange. Peloponnesian honey of thyme, black & white sesame.
The food was excellent and you could see that lots of effort and attention to detail was behind its cooking and preparation!
The service at Fanari Oia Restaurant was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, and he even gave us some interesting information about the history of the area. He also recommended some great local wines to pair with our food, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
The ambiance of the restaurant was also impressive. The design was tasteful and modern, and it complemented the stunning views. The restaurant was bustling with a mix of locals and tourists, which added to the lively atmosphere.
The prices at Fanari Oia Restaurant were reasonable for the quality of the food and the location. .
Overall, we had an amazing dining experience at Fanari Oia Restaurant. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and breathtaking views made it a truly unforgettable experience. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Santorini.
