We started our meal with a selection of appetizers, including grilled octopus with fava beans and capers, baked feta cheese with honey and sesame, and a fresh tomato salad with basil and olive oil. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor.
For our main course, we opted for the grilled seabass with roasted vegetables and lemon sauce, and the slow-cooked pork belly with sweet potato puree and red wine sauce. Both dishes were outstanding, with the seabass being perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the pork belly being rich and flavorful.
Dessert was a highlight of our meal, with the restaurant's signature dessert, the Lauda chocolate fondant, stealing the show. The dessert was a work of art, with a rich and decadent chocolate filling and a crispy exterior.
The wine selection at Lauda Restaurant is extensive, featuring a range of local and international wines. Our server, Katerina, provided excellent recommendations, and we opted for a local Assyrtiko white wine, which paired perfectly with our meal.

Long before Santorini became known as one of the world’s most popular destinations, Oia was a small village with 306 inhabitants, located at the northern edge of the caldera. Lauda, built on this rock in 1971, was the village’s ﬁrst restaurant. It was the place where the locals gathered to talk and drink, the place with the village’s only telephone.
